Biography

Bas Kodden is a writer, speaker and researcher in the field of leadership, entrepreneurship and personal development. The subject of Passion in particular has his special interest.

Before Bas became part of the Center for Leadership & Personal Development at Nyenrode Business University in 2010, he worked as an entrepreneur for almost his entire career. In 1998 he started his first company literally from his living room, a company that grew into an organization with several branches and several hundred self-employed employees.

After leading his organizations for 12.5 years, he handed over the company in 2010 to conduct scientific research, write books and train and coach young, ambitious students to become future leaders, who happen to be the new HEROES in his eyes: Highly Energetic Leading Doers, who give substance to their own future full of vitality and dedication.

Since then, several other best-selling books have been published, such as The Art of Sustainable Performance, Leading is Parenting in Reverse and The Devil Inside, which have been published both nationally and internationally.

Through his books, lectures and seminars, Bas reaches out to many thousands of managers and professionals every year, who, full of inspiration and energy, are able to bring themselves and their organizations to a renewed state of flow and enthusiasm.
